My name is Alison and I am absolutely obsessed with books.  I tend to prefer high fantasy and science fiction books, but I will read any genre pretty much.  I have been reading ever since I can remember, and never plan on stopping.  Where some girls spend all their money on shoes and jewelry, I spend my earnings on books.  I love getting lost in worlds that can distract me from my own, and books are my comfort when I need them.  My first book series that I read was the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, and that was what really inspired me to spend way too much time reading.  

   My dream house requires only two things: a cupboard under the stairs (because who doesn't want to be Harry Potter?) and a bookshelf that swings into a hidden library.  

   Outside of being book-obsessed, my passion is helping animals in any way that I can.  I have three cats and a dog, and plan to have many more furry friends in the future.  I love to play the flute, softball, and take pictures.  I have many amazing friends that I know I can always rely on, be it for support or a good book recommendation.  I also am the president and co-founder of Dumbledore's Army, the Harry Potter club at my school, where we have discussions and play games all relating to the wonderful series by J.K. Rowling.
