When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin--one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.
As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow over the faerie lands is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin--and his world--forever.
My Review:
This. Book. Is. Amazing. I waited to get the paperback version of this book and honestly wish I hadn't because this book is utterly stellar and beautiful. Sarah J. Maas has an amazing ability to create incredibly detailed and complex worlds that suck you in and don't let go. Her characters are extremely well defined and the relationships within the book are complicated yet simple. Maas doesn't write her stories so much as paints a picture with them, which makes the stories really come to life. This story was breathtaking and the plot was incredibly captivating. Definitely topped the charts and blew all my expectations away. I don't care if you're not a fantasy reader, READ THIS BOOK!
Final Grade: A++++++++++
