Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together they're plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.
Their best hope lies with Cress, who has been trapped on a satellite since childhood with only her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker; unfortunately, she's just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.
When a daring rescue goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing stop her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only ones who can.
My Review:
This was the third installment in The Lunar Chronicles and it was stunning. The first two books were absolutely amazing, but I have to say I was a little skeptical about continuing with the series because the second book had a bit of the second-book-slump. I was told by the same friend who recommended this series that the third book was a lot better and to definitely continue, and I'm extremely glad that I did. The romance was beautiful, the plot was entertaining, and the characters became more and more intense as the story went on and I absolutely loved how everything was described in a lot of detail while the novel still moved rather quickly. It was absolutely amazing and I'm very, very happy that I did pick this one up as it is probably my favorite in the series.
Final Grade: A+
